1. When you can return a trailer
There are three situations, and they all come down to the same thing: we got it wrong.
- It arrived damaged. Something happened to the trailer between our yard and your address.
- It is defective. A fault with how the trailer was built or assembled, not wear from use.
- It is not as described. The unit you received is materially different from what the listing said, for example a different capacity, a different configuration, or a missing feature the listing promised.
In any of those three cases you get the full purchase price back, we arrange and pay the collection, and there is no restocking fee. You have 30 days from the day it is delivered to tell us.
2. When you cannot
We want to be straight about this rather than bury it in small print.
- Change of mind. If the trailer is exactly what you ordered and in good condition, we cannot take it back. Every trailer is priced, documented and freighted to one buyer, and a returned unit cannot go back on a shelf like a boxed product.
- Exchanges. We do not swap one trailer for another. An eligible return is refunded, and you are free to place a new order.
- After it is titled or registered. Once the trailer is in your name it is a titled asset and the sale is complete. That is not us being awkward, it is how vehicle ownership records work.
- Once it has been used, modified, or damaged after delivery.
If anything about a listing is unclear, call us before you order. We would much rather answer a question than turn down a return.
3. The five minutes that decide a damage claim
This is the most important part of this page, because almost every refused damage claim fails for the same reason: the paperwork was signed clean.
Before you sign anything, walk the trailer:
- Check the frame and deck for transit damage.
- Confirm the lights work.
- Confirm the VIN and the rating plate match your paperwork.
If anything is wrong, write it on the delivery paperwork before you sign it, then send us photographs within 72 hours. A signed clean receipt says you received the trailer in good order, and it makes a damage claim very difficult to run afterwards.
4. How to start a return
- Contact us with your order number, what is wrong, and photographs.
- We reply with a return authorisation and book the collection at our cost. Do not arrange your own transport, and do not send a trailer back without an authorisation.
- Keep the unit unused and complete until it is collected, including any ramps, spare wheel or paperwork it arrived with.
- We inspect it on arrival and refund within 10 business days. Refunds go back to the original payment method. If you paid by bank transfer, the money goes to the account it came from.
5. Cancelling before delivery
Different from a return, and much simpler.
- Before you have paid: cancel at any time, at no cost.
- Paid, but not yet shipped: we refund you in full.
- Already shipped: the return terms above apply.
