NEWQuads, side by sides and sleds all load differently, and the deck width is usually what decides it. A modern side by side is wider than buyers expect, so measure across the mirrors and the widest point of the track, not the brochure figure.

NEWAluminum decks dominate here for a reason: less weight to tow, no rust from salt or wet gear, and easier to handle solo. Ramp arrangement and tie-down points matter as much as size, because these loads shift if they are not strapped at four points.
Measure the widest point of the machine including mirrors. Many need more than a standard utility deck width, so check the deck dimensions on the listing.
Aluminum is lighter to tow and does not rust from wet gear or road salt. Steel is cheaper and takes abuse well.
Four minimum, one per corner. Anything less lets the machine move under braking.
